RS METALI d.d. is an iron foundry active in the production and manufacture of grey, nodular and tamper cast iron and non-ferrous castings. Under our ownership, we run two production lines – SAMOBORMETAL based in Sveta Nedelja and RAPID2002 in Virovitica, both of which currently employ a workforce of 170 employees.
On the basis of over 50 years of iron foundry tradition and thanks to our all-round encompassing technological process, we produce cast pieces according to design plans, blueprints or samples of finalised products. Our most experienced metalworking staff and permanent investment into people and technology, enables us to achieve the highest levels of quality, along with competitive prices and full respect of all agreed delivery deadlines.
We specialise in the production of small and medium size series with a special emphasis and accent on complex castings with two or more cores.
Around 80% of our products are exported directly to the markets of Western Europe
The annual capacity of the foundry works amounts to 6000 t of grey, nodular or tamper cast iron, along with 600 t of non-ferrous castings. The weight range of the cast pieces spans from 0.10 to 350 kg, using the sand casting process technology.

We have the ability to produce models in our own well equipped modelling and tool shop, enabling the rapid acceptance and assimilation of new positions and overall onset of serial production. We also operate a modern well-equipped and sophisticated line for the automated production of moulds, along with the automatic preparation of sand, machinery and tools for the production of moulds applying the «Croning» process, with cleaning machines allowing shot peening that is ideal for both large series production and the individual production of various castings fitting the needs of clients. We also include lines dedicated to machine tooling processes such as drilling, grinding, milling and turning.
A special emphasis is given to quality and we constantly invest a great deal into the education of employees and the procurement of new equipment. The whole production process is controlled, applying all the prescribed test procedures in fully equipped laboratories for chemical and mechanical testing and analysis. The consistent quality of our production range is ensured through the control of all entering raw materials, as well as the control of the final product.
All activities are conducted in strict accordance with ISO standards.
